Punk begun in the mid-1970's as a offensive, guerilla revolution against common current of popular culture music. Rock ensambles like Sex Pistols, the Offspring, and Pere Ubu boosted punk music back in 1990. This time the mesh of rapid, simple rock music with sweet-sounding pop melodies hang around on the MTV. These days, soi-disant pop punk is the main element in the world of mainstream pop music. These 10 music tracks are fine place to start from to get to know punk pop.

1. blink-182 - Enema of the State

In blink-182's unbounded endeavour to offend any grown ups in the neighbourhood, that album shed light upon a person clothed as an enema au pair on the cover. The punk pop inside is teenage and unforgettable with the massive hit song “What's My Age Again.”

2. The Donnas - Spend the Night

Girls perform punk rock, as well, and this disc is a profuse evidence of the fact. The group formed themselves after the American rock band Ramones in NY with each performer going by the name Donna. Misery Business Download to listen to it.

3. Good Charlotte - Young and the Hopeless

Good Charlotte with Paul Thomas blasted into the top ten of the pop album chart with this set. It's filled with tales of college and problem parents. The big hit track is “The Anthem.”

4. Green Day - Jesus of Suburbia

Later retreating from their 90's fleeting surge of popularity, Green Day declined to the studio to put together punk rock's first opera. Although the band was unsure about their fan's reaction to Letterbomb, it turned out to be an American punk rock classic topping the charts and gaining an award for Best Punk Album of 2004.

5. The Lemonheads - It's a Shame About Ray

The Lemonheads' lead singer Evan Griffith Dando is the one and only punk performer to be known as a real teenager heartthrob. By the way the band recorded some outstanding songs, too, including “It's a Shame About Ray”, “Download Paramore” and “Mrs. Robinson” on this album.

6. The Offspring - Killboy Powerhead

Offspring a rock bandfrom California were one of the devoted punk renaissance bands from the 90's. On many occasions their music bordered on Blues rock and heavy metal with guitar-and-drums-centered sound, but their very best music is true punk. “Come Out and Play” and “Genocide” are far beyond what is normal on this DVD.

7. Rancid - Daly City Train

Rancid sounds a lot like such late 1970 classic punk as the Clash. They also use the sound of street punk in much of their albums.

8. Simple Plan - Still Not Getting Any…

This Canadian group appeared in the public eye in 2002 with their record album No Pads, No Helmets…Just Balls. This 2nd studio album is much better and includes the hit song “I'm Just a Kid.”

9. Sum 41 - Motivation

The song “Handle This” helped catapult this record album into the top 20. Sum 41 introduce clever humor into much of their music. Download When It Rains to get an impression of what we are talking about.

10. Weezer - Weezer (Blue Album)

Although they are esteemed as grandfathers of the anti-establishment rock music genre, Weezer's music is also pure pop punk in style. “My Name Is Jonas” was their 1st hit and then a clip putting the rock band in a Happy Days episode helped make the single even bit more popular.
