Charles Fey developed the first automatic slot machine in 1887 and he is considered to be the inventor of it. In 1907, Charles Fey decided to become partners with the Mills Novelty Company to produce a line of modern slot machines. Mills Liberty Bell was the first modification. Several years later, the Mills Company created the very first fruit symbol slot machine called the Operator Bell.
